U15 v Ampthill

Injuries bite deep!

Firstly, we have to thank the B team boys that stepped in and played valiantly today. With ten of our A team regulars unavailable this match was never going to be a walk in the park and Ampthill were never going to be a roll over. We started well with a try but when we went down to 14 boys we paid the price by letting Ampthill score and finished the first half with 5 points apiece. We lost Joe in the second half (confirmed broken finger!) and proceeded to leak two more tries and only briefly managed to put Ampthill under pressure.
No excuses, Ampthill played excellent, intelligent rugby with great individual skills.
